Hi there....this just started today and I'm wondering if anyone has a clue why it's doing it and should I be worried. Do you know when you update certain programs, how all of your desktop icons flash momentarily when it updates...well...mine have been doing that often today and it may even be while I'm idle and doing nothing. Any ideas anyone? Thanks to any and all responses B)

Fist thing I would to is to scan for malware with both MalwareBytes AntiMalware and SuperAntiSpyware

Get the free versions, install and update them and do the full scan.
It could take a while so be patient with it & remove any elements that both find.
Lets make sure its not malware.
In the beginning there was the command line.

Thanks for the reply, it was too annoying to me, so, I rebooted my PC and the flashing desktop icons stopped, but I will still do a scan as I just went to my e-mail and as soon as I logged on I got the Avast pop-up warning and this never happened before. Thanks again.
