Hi Westsyde
Didnt I help you recently with an AVG issue?
Did everything get resolved?

Microsoft recommends that you backup your system as a precaution.
All you really need to back up is anything that you might have in the My Documents folder.
Its rare for the SP3 install to fail but its not a bad idea to backup your data just in case.
You could use a flash drive & copy your important stuff onto it.

The SP3 could take a while. I have seen it take an hour+ before so be patient with it.
In the beginning there was the command line.

yes everything is working great with my AVG now i think it just messed up during an upgrade so i upgraded again and it seemed to fix everything.

thank you for telling me what to back up and how and its good to know it may take awhile beforehand :thumbup2:
i read the pinned forums about the reboot issues they were having with the SP3 and i was wondering if they have fixed that problem? If that problem may arise, what button is it that roboots in safe mode?

is it safe to download that without my Anti Virus on? or do they still recommend to disable it?

THANK YOU

I have installed SP3 many many times with AV software both on and off.
Never had an issue either way.

Only time I have ever encountered a problem is when a system is infected.

Should be simple bit it just takes time like I said.
Be patient with it and let it do its thing.

All of us at BC are here to help you if you need us!
In the beginning there was the command line.
