:flowers: i have my windows unused desktop icon wizard at start up on the lower right of my task bar and this is at startup and then it is gone. This is near the power, volume icon.
On the lower left near the start on my task bar is a icon that I can click on for the desktop.
First I would like to find the "unused desktop icon wizard", as I understand this to be the tool that I create a folder and can put icons in that one wants but does not access all the time. I presently have 1 miscellaneous content file of unused desktop icons and now want to create 2 more specific ones that would make life easier and the desktop less cluttered.
For example what I want to do is create 2 new folders, one would contain forums that I participate in and the other would for work related icons.
I did a post in another forum and the suggestion was to go into my registry and it listed information that I did not understand and I have been told not to fool with my registry as I am a newbie and use my computer mainly for work...(toshiba Pentium 4 notebook). Is there any other way that I can accomplish what I want to do?
I hope that there is some member or members that can help. It is a nice Sunday to put the desktop in order, however, if I make a mistake with my registry and go to work tomorrow I will be in deep trouble  :trumpet: :inlove:
I look forward very much to replies.

well you can store unused icons in there own folder like just throw them in my documents. But to get organized just go to my documents right click and hit new folder. Name the folder what you want and then drag and drop the unused icons in that folder. Poof your now oraganized and ready to move on!
If you need any more help ill be here or someone else...

Is this what you are talking about?

Right click on empty space on Desktop / New / Folder
Name the Folder
Drag and Drop the shortcut icons into the Folder
Now you have a Folder on your Desktop, that you just double click, to open.
Make as many folders as you need.
