WMP is not exactly a plug-in (extension) for FireFox. but is an independent, stand-alone application. You may wish to download WMP from a different site and attempt to install the new download, or find an earlier version of WMP if you think there is a compatibility problem with your version of Windows.

Try the FoxyTunes extension.

You may as well have a good browse around that site, hundreds of extensions and themes.
Cheers
