I have used your website many times to remove stuborn viruses. Today I used your combofix to remove a root kit from a win xp machine that had it's firefox and IE hi jacked. I am always amazed that MS Sec Essentials can't detect these and also this time I tried a AVG boot CD thinking it would be able to find something. THey both did find infected files but neither could see the root kit. The pc could not get to the windows update website. Now everythign is working properly. This is a great website.

Hello and :welcome: to Bleeping Computer.

Be careful using ComboFix as it is a very powerful tool.

Be sure to check out the New User Orientation and the excellent Tutorials.
