The above solution didn't work.
But I was able to solve it thus:
Under Win7-32bit, go to 'Devices & Printers'> (JUST) Click on any installed printer device> In top menu bar, there'll appear a command named 'Printer Server Properties'> Go to 'Drivers' tab> Select 'Canon' driver to be deleted> It'll search and list again the driver to be deleted, click 'Delete'. That's all. I've used this procedure when no other solution provided by google was working for my printer MF4570dn.
