This evening I was working on a project that is due tomorrow and I noticed some weird icons at the bottom of my computer, but decided to ignore them and printo out all my work and call it a night. I opened My Libraries and noticed that all of my folders under My Documents are missing, including their subfolders and documents. Everything is gone!! I then clicked on one of those icons to see what it was and it was WindowsRepair. I promptly googled "WindowsRepair" to find out what it was and realized it was a virus so I began looking up ways to rid my computer of it. I opened my computer in Safe Mode with Networking, hoping that the files had returned they hadn't. I then restored my system to 4 days ago, once again hoping the filed had returned, they hadn't. I can only find a few of them when I search for them. I can find most of the subfolders in recent places, but they are all empty. I want to verify that I am running Windows 7.

I am desperate at this point as this project is due in less than 9 hours and I can't find a single file that I need. Please Help!

Thank you in advance!

Jessica

Hello Jessica,

Please download UnHide.exe by Grinler to your Desktop. This utility will reverse changes to your system made by the infection.

Once downloaded, please execute the utility by double clicking on it.

After running it, your files should reappear. Let me know if they do not.
