Almost every time I open a folder, I get an error message labeled "Data Execution Prevention" that says it has closed Windows Explorer "to help protect your computer". One time immediately after I closed this error message, a msg popped up saying there was a problem with "DrWatson Postmortem Debugger" (?)

Thanks...

Click on start, settings, control panel and double-click on add/remove programs. From with add/remove program uninstall the following if they exist:

Myway (or anything that contains these words)
Mywebsearch (or anything that contains these words)

Then,

Download this program:

submit files packer

Highlight the files listed below in bold and right-click and selecting copy.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dlcccoms.exe

Then start the file packer program and right click in the white box and select paste to paste the copied file names in the field.

Then press the Continue button.

I will create an archive with these files and a small log on your Desktop that starts with a name like requested-file[date].cab.

Rename this file to yourmembername.cab (for example grinler.cab).

Then go to:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/submit-malware.php
and fill in the required fields and browse to this file on your desktop. Finally click on the Send File button.

I do not see anything else wrong here. I looked at the file and it is fine. Can you give me the exact error message you are getting?

I think the problem may be resolved. The last time I got the error message and had to close the folder, I clicked "Send Error Report" and then followed the link for more info. The link said Earthlink had informed Microsoft that the Earthlink Toolbar might be the source of the problem, so I removed the toolbar from my programs and haven't had the problem since.

Thanks anyway though
