Has anyone else received this email today:

You are receiving this email because a new password was requested for your YouTube account. If you did not request a new password for this account, ignore this email and continue to use your current password.
If you do wish to reset your password, please use the following link:

See you back on YouTube!

At no time did I make a request for a password change so I wanted to see if anyone else got this strange message?

Its really only two possibilities:

1. Someone is attempting to hack your YouTube account (not likely unless you are a large channel or have alot of enemies).

2. It's a mass scam email that is attempting to get your YouTube password.

Either way just do the following:

1. Delete that message
2. Login to YouTube and change your password yourself

If you want, you could also scan your PC for viruses/malware, but if you're not noticing anything else going on with your PC/passwords, I wouldn't worry too much about malware.

This is most likely the result of a typo. Someone with a username similar to yours requested a password reset.
They misspelled their name. You are getting their message and they are saying wazzup ,no YouTube reply.

You are not hacked.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
