I have these files on a non system hard drive that were created by Win 7 and for some weird reason or other will NOT delete. Changed from read only, used the program "Unlocker" and even set it to 'delete on startup'...which doesn't happen. Last but not least I even got into Safe Mode and tried to delete the cursed file, but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Thank yew!!!!

My experience is...files which are damaged or in bad sectors of the hard drive...may not easily delete. So I would run the chkdsk /r command on the drive first...then defrag...then try again.

I might also run the appropriate hard drive diagnostic, if problems continue.

<<I have these files on a non system hard drive that were created by Win 7...>>

Just what are these files?

Windows won't allow deletion of system files.
