Hey, if one of you professionals can help me, that'll be great! :thumbup2:

So to describe my problem, a few days ago Antimalware Doctor was somehow installed on my computer. Since then I've tried removing it, I downloaded some patch, used rkill, and tried a few different things with malwarebytes and removing the actual registry keys for it.... so far nothing has really helped... I mean the virus is gone, the pop up window for malware doctor is gone but my computer still seems to be having some problems. Yesterday i got a physical dump memory blue screen, and today i came back and the start bar was gone. I restarted it and the start bar came back, but I think the virus is still in the computer. Also, when I use firefox the searches redirect to other pages.

So any help out there will be appreciated!

Thanks.

If you can please post a hijackthis log file. Also did you try using tdsskiller to see if you have the TDSS rootkit? its pretty popular addition to antimalware doctor and thats probably what is causing your BSOD'd, but if you post your memory dump files we can probably debug them for ya

I think i'm only supposed to post the hijackthis log when an actual member is helping me. Thanks for the advice though, I'll just wait it out. I'm just hoping it won't be too late since my luck with computers usually ends up with blue screens and me having to reformat.

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
