Hi Your instructions on getting rid of Windows Diagnostic were really good and easy to follow, The computer now works without all the bogus messages etc. BUT
When I press start/all programs only Malwarebytes appears, the only program installed since infection. As far as I can see all programs are still installed and working but I have to fiddle around to find them
Random music or spoken content play at odd moments
A lot of pictures and media files appear to have disappeared, no doubt still there, but not easy to find...
I would appreciate any help you could give!

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.

I had this problem and just managed to fix it i think

Go onto my computer, go into your hard drive and select documents and settings, right click, at the bottom it says hidden and read only, click hidden and apply changes to this folder and sub folders, after the process completes, check start> all programs and it should be empty, Repeat the process but now untick the hidden box and apply to folder and sub folders, When process is complete your files, folders etc should re appear under start> all programs
