HP dv7-2270us notebook
Core2 Quad Q9000 @2.00GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
8GB DDR3 RAM (2x4GB) - new, bought Producthere
Windows 7 professional x64

Problem:
After installing new ram a week ago(i also updated gpu drivers around the same time) my computer started crashing (requiring hard reset) while playing SCII every 30 minutes to 2 hours.
More recently dwm.exe has been crashing, sometimes silently (disabling aero) and sometimes with an error message.
In the past two days, I've also had 3 bsods.

Tried:
memtest86 -the bootable disk, overnight total of 4 complete passes with no errors.
updated bios
reinstalled gpu drivers and ati catalyst control center

I think i'll try putting the old ram in and see if it stops the problems.
If that doesn't work i'll probably reinstall windows, unless someone can think of another solution.

Thanks,
sliced

Let's try this.

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html .

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When scanning is done, Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

You had it right in your first post. Take out the new ram and see if the problem persists. If it does not, you know what the issue is.
