Hello there.
I'm not sure which forum to use for my problem, I think this may be it.

Saw an ad on TV touting CyberDefender and thought I would check it out. Downloaded it on my PC (I knew better, but- ) then decided I didnít want it. I can not uninstall this program. There is also a MaxMyspeed Registry Cleaner on my task bar and I cannot remove that program either. If I click on it it takes me to a purchase/activate page on the web.
On my PC I have free Zone Alarm and AVG anti virus installed as well as Threatfire .

Windows 7 Home edition Dell Vostro 230; Intel core 2 quad, 88400@2.66 GHZ 2>66 GHz, 4.00G Ram, 64-bit operating system.

All help is appreciated. Thank you

Since I posted this message I searched for info on a message I received when I tried to uninstall CyberDefender. The message was "Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed". I found a posting that suggested I should go into safe mode and try to uninstall from there. It worked and I was able to get rid of CyberDefender.

Thank you for your time and I hope that this may help someone else.

Cheers and have a good evening
