Hi, I have a tower type G5 that has had a freezing problem. I have googled it and it seems to be very common. I haven't read about anyone actually solving the problem. I have tried everything anyone has written about but it keeps on happening. I have had a new motherboard, hard drive, new memory sticks, system checks out fine. It just won't stop. Has anyone ever really solved this? Thanks, Jim

Have you verified that your motherboard is securely fastened to the motherboard tray? You could have a short.

do you have the original disks that came with your mac? If so put the disk in the drive and hold the D key while booting to boot to the diagnostic and run it to see if anything fails.

There are a lot of things that this could be and that will help narrow it down.

Also have you preformed a fresh install recently? If so is it still happening?
