Free virus defination

Why would you want to code an anti-virus in Visual Basic? I wouldn't think that an AV written in VB would be very efficient or fast and I don't think 'free AV definitions' exist. You might find something at ClamAV or OpenAntiVirus.

As far as I know, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is written in VB 6.0 and it does pretty damn good job :)

For virus definitions, you can check the ClamAntivirus virus database http://sourceforge.net/projects/clamav/
