While switching between internet sites on HP Pavilion Dv6-3030TX PC screen froze and had to force close down. On start-up PC starts to bleep continuously after a few seconds and there is NOTHING on the screen. Checked all connections and reseated RAM cards etc with no result. Any clues as to what may be happening here and how I can fix? Thanks

Check for a "stuck key" on the keyboard

Thanks for the tip. Everything OK on the keyboard.

Reseated various hardware items and computer restarted and working after removing new 512MB RAM installed 5 mths ago. Have reinstalled the new RAM
and computer operating normally. The original RAM 512MB plus new RAM 512MB should total 1012MB but shows only as 896MB? so somthing is not right. Any ideas?
