Normally, I don't have good things to say about MS, but they have earned my respect and glowing accolades for their FREE help in helping me eradicate a nasty and elusive malware from my system. I was sifting through their help pages, and I stumbled across a phone number, 1-866-727-2338.(Only for security issues) Just as expected, I was routed to a call center in India. Unlike previous calls, I really got red carpet service! A 19 year old college sophamore named Shetank, (pronounced shatook)asked me some questions, and then requested to take local control of my computer via MS Easy Access. I consented. For 3-1/2 hours, A young Hindu was running around India with total control of my computer. Who knows how many national secrets and how much porn are now in the hands of Indians?

Regardless, I was totally impressed. Shetank ran all sorts of scans I never heard of. He went into my program files and deleted all sorts of things. As I was watching him work his magic on my monitor, my heart was in my mouth. During reboots, we made small talk. He's studying to be a 3D gaming designer expert. I asked him if he made his own computer. He said, "No, my older brother is the more technically minded. He builds our family's computers."

It even gets better! Shetank and I still had some unresolved issues. Believe it or not, MS scheduled a call back for the next day! We spent another two hours troubleshooting. Where has this side of MS been hiding? Remember, all of this assistance was FREE!
