bleep has really happened. My friend has recently had his security system hacked and his house broken into! His entire house has been compromised and he wants me to help him.
Problem is that im no computer security professional, so i need your help.
My friend's house has cameras in it, and each camera is linked to his computer through his router (I believe) Every time he logs on to his computer, he is able to check what has happened around his property for up to ten days. Apparently though, when he left his house one day AND turned his computer off, someone who has hacked his system was able to watch the house through his cameras. They broke into his house when he wasn't home, and when he got home and went to check the tape, nothing was on the tape. "It was like they were invisible" he told me. But somehow they were able to get into his cameras from a remote computer, turn them off, break in, and not be noticed at all.

Another interesting this, and you guys dont have to answer to this, but his home security system was shut off apparently. I think it was turned off remotely, but have no idea.

Please help. this has already been reported to the police and they don't think its possible, but its got to be.
Thanks

I'm gonna have to agree with the Police, this story doesn't add up jmho

Since this is an ongoing active police investigation any assistance would constitute evidence tampering. Evidence would then be useless for insurance or court purposes.
