I had opened my laptop battery. However after I reinserted the battery there was this message that kept coming when I click the battery icon in the system icons tray in the taskbar "Consider Replacing Your Battery".My battery seems to be working fine but this message does not go away.I tried using System Restore and discharging and recharging the whole battery but of no use.Is there any solution?
Thank You

Did you drop it or something like that? Is the battery charging properly? Does the battery runs out quickly after you took it out?

One thing I ran across is a post that said charge the battery fully, then discharge it completely and recharge. Worth a shot before you leave win 7 behind.

recently i left [forgot to turn it off ] my laptop running on battery and it fully discharge ,causing the same error you get ,i use it for awilt that way but got tired of the quick discharge and the eroor message ,and bought a new battery ,error gone
i don't think 1 1/2 hrs is a perfict working battery[most would get over 2 hrs at normal use ] unless you were doing some fairly heavey use for that time '
time for a new battery not a new OS

I think it also depends on the mAh.
