I have a PC running XP professional which uses AutoCAD lite (old 1993). I draw some designs by hand, use a canon scanner to scan and save as a windows meta file (wmf). Then I open autocad and import the file, except the file only shows up in the preview, when I import it never shows on screen. This is a new scanner and an old PC with an old version of autocad. Is the age of the autocad my problem? If I scan the same picture, I can open it with Photoshop or picture it programs (if I save it in something they can see such as a jpg). I am at a loss, so any help would be appreciated.
