A few hours ago I posted this topic in the "Am I infected? What do I do?" forum with a description of the problem but no log. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic385608.html

Here is the text from that topic, now with the DDS log included at the end of this post. When I try to create a GMER log, the program keeps shutting off as soon as I click "Scan" so I was unable to include it.

Whenever I perform any Google search online on my laptop, which is running Windows XP Professional, and click on the link I want, I am redirected to random sites.

I've tried to run a few antivirus programs but none will run:

While downloading Spybot a window pops up saying "C:\Program Files \Spybot - Search & Destroy \SpybotSD.exe is a read-only file" and asks me if I want to retry, ignore or abort. So when I try to run the program after clicking ignore I receive the error message: "Unable to execute file: C:\Program Files \Spybot - Search & Destroy \SpybotSD.exe"

Malwarebytes Anti-malware also doesn't work, even after renaming files.

I tried running PC Tools Antivirus Free and the program will open but won't run. I followed PC Tool's Support instructions, such as running in safe mode, etc. None worked.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Here is the DDS log:
