wireless connection

Hello friends... Well my wireless connection works fine for a little while,then starts to slow down.yesterday connection icon displayed "no connection". where I use my unit is not far from the router. today i plugged in the ethernet cable and works fine. now i'm wireless,but I know it'll act up again.could it be a bad router?( pc is new.)
