I read another moderator refer to Kim Komando. Who is she. I have heard 20 sec. snipets on talk radio, but have no idea who she is.
Any idea, comments, or reference to her?

She's a radio show host who specifically deals with computer issues for neophytes. Her website can be found here.

She seems to have deep ties to Spy Sweeper. I've never heard her recommend
any type of freeware such as Ad-Aware or Spybot. And her AV recommendations
are usually Norton (never mentions freewares)
There's a link on her site to "Kim's Shareware Picks" (not "freeware")
Sorry, she just rubs me the wrong way!

I spent several hours (could have been spent better) looking at her site. She appears to be very bias. Unless a company advertises on her site, I saw little or no recommendations. That sort of limits her advise to select few products. Good for her purse but not so good for persons seeking advise. IMO
