i uninstalled openoffice.org 3.2 by selecting add or remove programs in the control panel. then i shut down the laptop & started it back up. openoffice no longer appears in add or remove programs but i saw the icon was still on the desktop, & when i did a search, i saw a number of openoffice files still on the pc such as openoffice windows installer package, cabinet file, setup application & config settings, etc. how do i get that stuff off the pc? & how do i know what i can delete without affecting rest of operations on this laptop?

operating system is windows 7. thanks!

The files are downloaded to your computer for future installation without redownloading the files. You can delete the folder that those files appear in.
