Just bought a 320GB Core portable HHD. There are no instuctions with it and no software as its all on the HDD apparently. I plug it into the USB and I get message that new hardware is recognised but thats all. It does not show up on my list of storage devices.

How do I use it, find it, access it??? I am useing Win 7.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Not a lot of info about manufacturer that i can see...possibly made by CnM, http://misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=517156&Tab=7&NoMapp=0 .

I would see if it's properly reflected in Disk Management...it could be unformatted. Windows will not recognize a drive attached until it is formatted, but it should show in Disk Management.
