BSOD while starting up...

the desktop I was struggling with about the HDD space fluxuation stuff (which seems to still be going on in limited amounts) has developed a new thing. Upon booting up earlier, it had rebooted in midstream; I let it play startup repair games, then restarted, n' it worked. so then I went and did some windows update stuff.

while it was rebooting to finish the updating, it BSOD'd, mentioning something about "APC INDEX MISMATCH', not that I know what that means. what computer disaster is befalling this box now? I know not if it's hardware or software, but BC is my usual place to look for help, so... here I am.

after that BSOD, I skipped startuprepair and just told it to start vista normally. it's up and running without a fuss this time. but still, I don't like the idea of having intermittent problems starting up...
