I've run malwarebytes, spyware doctor, mcafee none of these picks this up and it's really pissing me off. I've removed what registry entries it's made for itself but still to no avail. Please any advice would be appreciated. I am seriously considering a reformat.

Can you give me a detailed description of what problem you are having (rogue antivirus pop ups, when they occur, if you encounter them both in safe mode and in normal mode and/or any other details you can give).

regards, Elise

Basically the antivirus monitor continues to run it's process blocking task manager from running and it doesn't show up on malwarebytes spy doctor mcafee or any other malware scanner/remover that I have run. I cannot find the program itself and I have cleared all the cookies. It only shows up in normal mode on Windows 7. I can run in safe mode with networking alright and the process doesn't run and it isn't active in the system tray. In normal mode it seems to run as a startup program but there are no duplicate programs or new/unusual programs in the folder or entries in the registry startup.

In that case, lets run a more detailed scan. I will move this topic to a more appropriate forum.
