I'm not sure if this is the proper forum, I don't have enough time to sift through the different threads, but I'm looking for a screensaver, if anyone knows where I can find it:

I want it to keep the same background image on the screen, but at intervals, it will disrupt the image with white noise. Kind of like an old fashioned tv with a faulty connection, or a disrupted connection because of paranormal disturbance. Something like that. Usually seen in apocalyptic scenes and stuff, where the one tv is on and glitching.

You might find time to sift through a Google Search for "screensaver with static"

WinXP Pro sp3 \ Firefox, Panda, MBAM, SAS, SpywareBlaster

I've tried that. All I get is this one screensaver that's hosted on a thousand sites that just gives a full screen of white noise. I want it to flicker and then return to the background that's set up on the desktop.

Also, I searched for an hour before relying on forums to do my dirty work. I just had an appointment to keep and couldn't go through this forum's thread descriptions without being late.

I wasn't able to find anything like that, unfortunately. You might try looking around for a slide show-style screen saver with "static" as a transition in between images. Also be very careful about what you download as screen savers are a favorite Trojan horse for malware authors.

I agree with above....

Be carefull downloading desktop add-ons

they comwe with extra toolbars and all sorts of funny stuff.

I think the best way would be to make your own with a slide show.

Use your picture and a picture of static, back and forth....

for instance if you speed up the cycle of pictures real fast and of coarse load your desktop picture in more than once then follow with a static picture inbetween a couple times, it might produce a cool effect... you will have to add transitions of sorts to make the pictures switch fast but its totally do-able.

I know not really what your looking for but just adding my 2 cents
