Have an xp sp3 machine that is so slow on the internet using my home wireless network.all the other computers connecting through the same wireless system to the internet is excellent.Have done all of the bug checks and there are no virusses. Suspect there is a registry entry or something else silly and small causing the problem. Any ideas?

Post your results from speed test: http://www.speedtest.net/

What's your ISP advertised speed?

Every other system I have connected to the network has been quick on the internet bar this one. It is not an isp problem or a network problem it is only the 1 computer

Well, it looks like very nice speed.
Cable connection?

You'll need to explain, what exactly is slow then.

the wireless or ethernet (not running both together) speed slows down to 15kbs a bit better than dial up.There are no other apps connected to the internet. Something is throttling the speed on this machine

all the other computers connecting through the same wireless system to the internet is excellent

Do you mean the others are similar speeds ? ?
If so why do you think this is slower ? ?

Thank You -

I shall recap
one computer that connects to the internet through my wireless network will only get dial up speed where as the other 3 will get at least the speeds I gave above.Have done all of the bug checks and the crap cleaner things to the computer. Malware bytes etc.Have tried different wireless usb recievers etc as well as connected through the ethernet connection with the same slow speeds.Have disabled all other programs not needed for the computer to run at startup.Could there be a registry entry or a driver gone bad that could cause this
