Hello and welcome to Bleepingcomputer.

When a DVD drive reads but does not write, there are three reasons for this to happen.

Reason 1. Your disks are not supported.

Reason 2. Your laser is either dirty or is failing.

Reason 3. The software you are using is having a problem.

What software are you using to burn files to a disk?

What is the brand name of the disks you are using and have you used this brand before without problems?

Bruce.
