compupter won't wake up

Hi my desk top was running fine last night I shut it down. now I can hear the fans come on but got nothing else
I thought maybe monitor or plugs it all seems ok but it does sound different ???????

Easiest thing to do is try a different display if you have one.

i don't have one could my hard drive just suddenly go ?

Usually if the hdd dies the computer will not boot at all as there won't be an operating system to boot from.

Start the computer and enter the BIOS and see if your hdd is recognized.

Do you have a installation disk for this computer? You can try booting from it if you do. You may need to go into the BIOS and make your optical drive the first device in the boot order to boot from the disk.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Hi i can't get that far i can hear the fans kick on but thats it it's like there is no hdd sound at all the odd part is that it was fine the night before

no when i turn on off on monitor it says no signal

Then it's probably one of three things:

Bad video card
Bad display
Bad connection / cable(s) between the display and video card.
