Duh. This post's title should be changed. I almost thought FF4 is out.

The title should have read Firefox 4 RC Released, but I was unable to edit the title immediately after posting. Regardless, according to officials the RC will look very much like the RTM version, if not identical.

Just a few short days after delivering the first Release Candidate build of Firefox 4, Mozilla's senior director of engineering Damon Sicore has confirmed that the final build of the browser will be ready to launch before the month is out.

The browser's public release has been pencilled in for a March 22nd launch.

I can't believe they consider shipping the 4.0 release of Firefox with the messed up font rendering in hardware accelerated mode especially since hardware acceleration is enabled by default. What are they thinking?

I am using Firefox 4 RC and there is no font problems. You might need to update your graphics drivers.

If still you experience the problems, you may have to disable hardware acceleration.

ha it runs in 64 bit mode on mac os x 10.6.6 but quicktime doesnt work with it in 64 bit mode ha havent a clue about flash will test later i forgot to do it when i got it and i use chrome now so... :)

But one thing i can say is that it is much faster on mac os x now compared to the old, thats why i had switched to chrome.
