What is the folder $RECYCLE.BIN?

Hi,

I have seen folders $RECYCLE.BIN those are hidden but now I can see them all over in folders is that normal? OS: Win 7.

It is to give you a chance to undelete a file, if/when you make a mistake.

What Jacee said :) In addition here is my 5 cents :

If you are seeing a folder on the root of your drives like C:\$Recycle.Bin, then its normal. You are seeing it because you have enabled to show protected system files and folders.

If you are seeing these folders in every folder like C:\Program Files\$Recycle.Bin then its strange. Please confirm if this is so.
