I did a fdisk and reinstall of WinXP on a Gateway GT4009 blank drive. The OS loaded properly and I installed the driver files listed on the Gateway website. However, the device manager show a yellow question mark on the SM Bus Controller. I have been unable to find the driver or much information regarding this issue. Can you please help?

No chipset drivers listed on the Gateway site for that model.
Try the AMD Processor driver
In the beginning there was the command line.

Download System Information for Windows: http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html to your Desktop.
Get SIW Without Installer (English-Only).
Double click on siw.exe to run the program.
Go File>Create Report File>HTML
Save the file to known location.
Zip the file, and attach it to your next reply.

I must apologize to you. The reason the above drivers did not work is because I was using the SIW software on another computer not the computer that needed the driver. So the information posted above was not for the computer which need the driver.

However, I found the correct driver at:

http://www.nvidia.com/content/DriverDownload-March2009/confirmation.php?url=/Windows/nForce/15.26/15.26_nforce_winxp32_international_whql.exe&lang=us&type=nForce

Thanks for your help!
