I noticed this morning that every time I tried to go to a website, I was being redirected somewhere completely different, usually a website full of adds. After looking into it for a few hours I was pretty sure it was the search redirect virus. Since then, I've tried a ton of anti-malware programs but nothing has stopped the redirecting from happening. I finally updated Malwarebytes anti-malware feeling pretty dumb for not having done that in the first place, and ran another scan. This time, after finding some "threats" during the scan, a blue screen flashed and the computer pretty much shut down. I thought it was some fluke and tried the scan again after the computer restarted, only to have the same thing happen again. I've been dealing with this virus since noon and I'm at my wits end. I'm not really sure how you guys do things around here but I could really use some help.

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
