I have just been using my computer and all of a sudden i noticed that i can't drag and drop anymore. I am currently running Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1. User Account Control is turned off and i have tried using another mouse and that's got the same problem.

I am only dragging and dropping from one folder to another on windows.

When i try and drag the files a black circle doesn't come up, just nothing happens.

I can't move shortcuts or folder on my desktop either.

I have checked windows is up to date. I have restored my system(still happening).

Are you using the right or left mouse buttons?

You can use it to drag and drop, and thats the preferred method.

I can right click Copy and Paste but i use the drag and drop option because it's easier.

I can't use my FTP Client either because i can't drag files into their.

FileZilla.

I think what caused the problem was when i was updating some really old software called INVedit, it's a tool for minecraft. http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?t=15921

You don't install it, it's just a application.

When i updated it it gave me this error:

The given key was not present in the dictinary.

This is what i though was the problem because this morning dragging and dropping was working correctly.

That error seems to stem from validating user accounts and service installation and related to Silverlight. Not getting anything relating to FileZilla or FTP Clients.
