Are you running a firewall? Have you checked your list of blocked sites in Internet option under Tools?

beanie,

I don't use MSN. But I did a google search on your error message that you have the screen shot of. This is what it came up with here. MSN Problems.com, How to fix error code 80072efd. There are other links within that one if it does not work. Since I don't use MSN this is about all I can suggest. Others here may have other suggestions.

Have you tried re-installing MSN?
Maybe something has become corrupt.

Since you are asking I'm sure you want the MSN client working..BUT! Have you tried Trillian Basic.
I am running AIM, YIM, 2-ICQ, MSN, and 6 IRC chat rooms at once .. right now. It works great and it's all in one program. It takes less resources than all of the big 4 chat clients and runs all of them at once.
Just and alternative.
