No internet after getting rid of system tool

Hi everyone.

First off thanks to everyone at this site for all of the help you have given me in the past!!! You guys are awesome.
I am one of the many it seems who has been infected with system tool. I found the post in the forums on how to get rid of it and fortunately I already had Malwarebites on my computer. It rid me of 2 files and now I no longer get the warning screen. The issue is I have no internet connection. I went to the lan setting in explorer to unchecked the box like the instructions said but the box was already unchecked. I could not update Malwarebites so I just ran it with the version I had (about 2 weeks old). My network cables seem to be fine and other computers in my home network are OK also. Is there something I am missing to get my internet connectivity back? I have checked and unchecked the box and restarted my computer in safe mode with network settings a few times but no luck.

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
