I've had a google redirect issue for about a week. I ran mbam, tdsskiller, eset, and my symantec scanners found some things and still having the problem. I also reset my router to factory settings using the reset button on the back and flushed dns multiple times. This has happened before but i have been able to resolve it. while redirecting i always see the web address change to this ip address at the bottom of the browser : 64.111.211.161 before connecting to a variety of search sites or random pages. which is really strange because it is just msdn. Redirecting happens in both firefox and ie. This time the redirecting problem is very stubborn and i've ran out of ideas.

thanks in advance

Somethings to remember while we are working together.

  • Do not run any other tool untill instructed to do so!
  • Please Do not Attach logs or put in code boxes.
  • Tell me about any problems that have occurred during the fix.
  • Tell me of any other symptoms you may be having as these can help also.
  • Do not run anything while running a fix.

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.
