The power port on my laptop seemed to be loose and moving around and not connecting to the power cord, so I opened my laptop up to see what was wrong. Everything appeared to be fine so I just reconnected and put everything back together properly, and now it's receiving power and charging normally. Since I've done this, my laptop no longer automatically connects to the wireless network when starting up. The wireless button stays red unless I press it twice, and all is well until I have to restart, which I find annoying. My sister has the exact same laptop as I. Hers has been doing the same thing ever since we had to send it in to have parts replaced.
I've been searching for solutions but keep coming up with broken buttons, people having error codes, solutions for other operating systems, etc. I'm not finding anything helpful.

I'm guessing it's some setting that got reset when I disassembled my laptop. Could someone help me out?
I'm running windows 7 on a compaq presario cq60.
