Infected comp

Ok so last night I am on my comp which is not this one my main comp.I get a pop up of some virus scanning software on the desktop not in a internet box called "Windows Tool" and it also made a shortcut on my desktop named "windows tool".It proceeded to show some short of scan and of course showed my comp was infected with all sorts of stuff when I clicked cancel on the scan after it was complete my computer screen went black and said something about my c drive let me add my os is windows vista but my screen goes black says something in a box about repairing and defragging or something of some sort and it allows me to open up the task manager.I have tried to delete the user name that all of this orignated and all the files and nothing just poped up on a new one I created.And sometimes it shuts computer down when desktop runs to long and says something about runtime error then it just crashes.When I go into task manager there of some actions that it will not let me do access denied...blah blah.please help me with this how do I go about fixing it is there more than one way to? can somebody please help me and sorry for the bad grammer Thanks

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
