Looks clean. Are you still getting redirects? Any other symptoms still with you?

I got a few redirects, so then I restarted my computer in safe mode and redownloaded MBAM. Ran it, and it found 7 infected files. So I quarantined and then deleted them and restarted. I restarted back into safe mode again, and ran ESET. It found a: win32/Kryptik.LMY file. It was quarantined and deleted.

As of right now, the only pop ups I have gotten have been google analytic (which I wish I knew how to get rid of). Is there any other deep cleaning methods I could do to stop this from taking over my computer??!

Can I have the MBAM log showing the seven infections. Grab it by opening MBAM and clicking the Logs tab, then copy and paste in your next reply.

Also, please don't run other tools as I am not able to see what you have been doing and this makes this a much harder job. Once we're clean we can remove the redirect, usually by a very simple method.

Sorry about running the programs. Thought itd be ok to run them in safe mode since youd already had me run them before... Won't happen again...

Running these programs in safe mode is not the best way to do it unless normal mode has been locked by the infection.

Anyway, we've got some more malware on the radar so please run SAS and see what else there might be

Download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware Free for Home Users
  • Double-click SUPERAntiSpyware.exe and use the default settings for installation.
  • An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program.
  • If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here. Double-click on the hyperlink for Download Installer and save SASDEFINITIONS.EXE to your desktop. Then double-click on SASDEFINITIONS.EXE to install the definitions.)
  • In the Main Menu, click the Preferences... button.
  • Click the Scanning Control tab.
  • Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked):
    • Close browsers before scanning.
    • Scan for tracking cookies.
    • Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
  • Click the "Close" button to leave the control center screen.
  • Back on the main screen, under "Scan for Harmful Software" click Scan your computer.
  • On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed Drive.
  • On the right, under "Complete Scan", choose Perform Complete Scan.
  • Click "Next" to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
  • After the scan is complete, a Scan Summary box will appear with potentially harmful items that were detected. Click "OK".
  • Make sure everything has a checkmark next to it and click "Next".
  • A notification will appear that "Quarantine and Removal is Complete". Click "OK" and then click the "Finish" button to return to the main menu.
  • If asked if you want to reboot, click "Yes".
  • To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware again.
    • Click Preferences, then click the Statistics/Logs tab.
    • Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
    • If there are several logs, click the current dated log and press View log. A text file will open in your default text editor.
    • Please copy and paste the Scan Log results in your next reply.
  • Click Close to exit the program.

Okay, we need to check the top entry on the MBAM log. It says delete on reboot but sometimes it doesn't. Please rerun MBAM, a quick scan is fine at this point.

That's a good log to see. I'd like to see a final ESET scan log and then we're there I think :)

Okay Kyle, the ESET scanner is designed to pick up infected files wherever they may be. The other tools target big infections in specific areas so although we do a lot of cleaning it means that very few people have clean ESET logs. In your case, where they are is relevant. They are all in cache or temp files, which means they have been copied to these files during the course of the PC processing. The system restore and Java cache entries are dormant and where they are would not have caused any problem. They are always cleared out before we finish anyway. The temp file in the IE is live but has now been removed.

How is the machine performing now?

It is performing better than before, but I am still getting pop ups every now and again, just randomly. Not when I am first visiting a website. Like, 3 minutes into reading an article. Weird times. Also, I keep getting google analytic pop ups also...

We need to reset the router to its default configuration.
  • This can be done by inserting something tiny like a paper clip end or pencil tip into a small hole labeled "reset" located on the back of the router.
  • Press and hold down the small button inside until the lights on the front of the router blink off and then on again (usually about 10 seconds).
  • If you donít know the router's default password, you can look it up. HERE
  • You also need to reconfigure any security settings you had in place prior to the reset.
  • You may also need to consult with your Internet service provider to find out which DNS servers your network should be using.
Has that stopped the redirects?

Kind of confused at this moment... I reset my router. It turned on and then off... Now what should I do? Sorry... It didnt ask me for my username or password, just merely reconnected to the internet after a minute or so...
