Hi All.

I'm currently using a computer which isn't infected.

My other computer is quite blatently infected with Malware calling itself Windows Express Setting, it pretends to be a security program on the computer, doesn't let you open anything (including taskmanager and command prompt). I've researched this peice of Malware online only to find people propagating new software, this seems dodgey to me as every website practically had the same copy and pasted text about the malware but offered a different program. This smells like a Con to me so I wanted to ask bleeping computer to see what the experts had to say.

I've tried loading the computer up in safe mode with command prompt to see if I could find and delete the program from there. I can't type a single letter when trying this.

I've tried to find it in add-remove software but there's nothing unusual there.

I've read that manually getting rid of this malware is insanely hard and requires going into registry keys.

I do have access to folders and files through my computer but I cannot open any programs: AvG, CMD, TaskManager

Thanks for reading
