I recently installed 20-20 design version6.1 on a pentium 4 running windows xp. Everything seems to work fine until I try to create a report. Then I get an error and the report is not created. The error message is the following:

The report will be cancelled due to the following error:0
Error description:

Cannot create object:CrystalReport
Reference: Crystal Report 7 Active X Designer Runtime Library (craxdrt.dll)

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Off the top of my head, 2 possible solutions:

1) Ensure that you're running this from an account with Administrator privileges (the "cannot create object" may be related to this)

2) Ensure that there wasn't a problem with the installation. If there's a repair option on the program - use it. If not, uninstall and reinstall the program to see if this fixes it.

Could you provide some more details about the program (I found several Crystal Reports and 20-20 Designes when I searched the web)?

Is the file "craxdrt.dll" on your system?

20-20 design is kitchen design software. It uses Crystal Reports, which is included with the software to format price quotes, and other output material, such as cost accounting etc. And yes the craxdrt.dll is on the system.

Thanks for your time

Is the .dll file in the directory that the design software is supposed to be in?

I'll read some of the stuff at the design site to see if that will help.

There's a chance that the installer may have been corrupted when you downloaded it - I'd suggest uninstalling the program, then downloading a new copy of it and installing that to your system to see if it will fix it. (it seems that there is a problem with the .dll file and, hopefully, the reinstall will fix it.
