Hello, I am having issues when trying to boot in regular mode (not safe mode). Safe mode works just fine, I am currently in safe mode with networking.

The problem I am having is that when I logon in windows 7, I eventually get a blank screen (sometimes black with backlight on, sometimes white/green/blue and sometimes its weird lines dancing accross my screen) the only way for me to get out of this is to hold the power button until it turns off. I can use safe mode but that's it.

The computer is an Acer Aspire one (AOD250) Netbook

I have tried:

  • Full scan with super anti spyware
  • Full scan with malwarebytes anti malware
  • Scan with combofix ( I was instructed on another site to do so, but they stopped responding)
  • Run ccleaner
  • Run disk check

I am getting quite frustrated and would appreciate any help very much!

Sounds to me like your video card is in the process of dying, I would suggest replacing it while you can.

what do you mean by "while you can"? Will something go majorly wrong? Also if my computer has been sitting for a while, it will last about 10 mins before this happens, and if I have been on a while in safe mode and boot then it last more like 2 minutes. And if it's my video card, wouldn't I also have the same problem when in safe mode?

In safe mode your video card drivers are not being used.

Oh.. That makes since then :/... I have a netbook so I can't upgrade my video card without upgrading the whole motherboard... This is going to cost me a lot, I'm better off buying a new computer which I can't afford :/
