Hello,

(Meant to type Response)

The mouse on my PC stopped working. I unplugged it and plugged it back in a few times with no luck. I restarted the computer a couple of times using the power button with no luck.

I have never had this happen before. Do these things sometimes just die ?

I am using my laptop because I can not get on the internet with my PC.

Any advice ? Should I just go buy a new one or could there be a problem with something else that is affecting the mouse ?

Thanks for your time.

Dennis :)

A mouse is just a mechanical device so yes, they sometimes do die - though not often. How is it connected (ps2 or usb)? Try it on your laptop to see if it works.

Thanks for the response Allen. I figured they could go bad I just thought that there may have been some warning such as eratic behaviour.

It is ps2. I don't see anything on the laptop that is compatible with the plug.

I am using a wireless mouse on the laptop and have a usb plugged in.

I am going to try this setup on the PC and see what happens.

Yeah - if it's possible to try it on another system I would. You can also try it in safe mode. If it doesn't work there, then it's probably shot.

The wireless works fine on the PC.

I am off to the store to buy another mouse.

Thanks,

Dennis :)
