Hi recently I installed a new motherboard and since it did not support RAID I had to install the OS onto one of the HD's. After creating a username and password the computer restarted again and after posting went straight to a black screen with a blinking white underscore in the top left. I tried booting from the CD again but when it says "press any key to boot from cd" nothing happens when i push any key on my keyboard. Any suggestions?

So you broke your RAID, during an OS install?

Did you format all drives?

Can you destroy the array using the older motherboard?

no my last pc setup allowed raid but my new motherboard does not support RAID so im running off one hard drive. It let me boot up from the cd just now so i tried to repair. It said unplug any usb devices (I had none) then restart. After restarting i got the same black screen and now i cant boot from cd again.

Its best to keep it on the forums so we can help other people out. Try reformatting both drives and disconnect one before installing.

Download the hard drive diagnostic tools from their website.
