W7 ultimate 32bit

Yesterday my screen savers stopped working.
Ive used one called "electric sheep" for quite a while and yesterday installed two different retails aquarium based screen savers, Marine aquarium 3 and Dream Aquarium.
Problem started after installing them.
I uninstalled the new screen savers and restored the system back a couple days.
Still no screen savers.
What/where should i start to resolve this?

Resolved:
Yesterday i happened to replace the batteries in my wireless mouse ( coincidentally) just before in installed the new screensavers.

It seems that when the battery is new and the mouse is on a surface that is not uniform in color( mine desktop is oak and the grain makes coloration un-uniform) that it "searches".
I put the mouse on to a mouse pad and the screen savers activated without issue.
