Desktop problems

Hi everyone could someone please help me this is driving me insane...
My parents computer is having troubles with it desktop picture

they had a picture on there was a just a normal picture anyways i cant find this picture on there computer anymore i think it has been deleted but it stuck on their desktop as there desktop theme, when you go into properties> desktop and try to change it the buttons are disable and you cant change it or remove it..

Does anyone know how i can remove it?

Hi

No it is stuck we cant change it at all, you cant click any buttons i nthe desktop tab... its a photo that was taken with a camera and uploaded on the computer but the picture is not on the computer anywhere we can see.... and we have to tried to find it and cant we have tried to change the theme and the buttons wont work cant do anything

Have you checked in the wallpaper folder ? Start>run>type C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper>ok.
Do a wild card search for gifs and jpegs *.jpg *.gif

In addition to b/bill above /\ (sorry for abbreviation)

When you Right click on the desktop (any open area) I take it that you do get the Properties item first -
You then click on Properties and the box opens with Themes/Desktop/Screen Savers/Appearance/Settings all in a row -
Then you click on Desktop and those are the only tabs that are un responsive -

When the box first opens you should get Themes - Can you click on the dropdown menu that says My Favorite Theme ??
If you can the last item should be Browse -
Or are All the items in the Display Properties box "dead" ??

Yes i can get to the theme part, just when i go to the desktop icon everything is frozen all the buttons etc, and i still cant where this picture is

It seems to me that you mean Desktop Tab , not Icon -
Use the First Tab (Themes) and click on the dropdown menu that should say My Favorite Theme -
If this can not be done , please tell me so we can look outside the actual Menu items and look at other problems -
Also just try the Screen Saver and set it to Wait : 5 mins , then reset it to 100 mins (or whatever you had it set at -
